Tell the EPA: Keep coal waste out of our water!
Join us for a press conference and living mural demonstration on July 5th!
Coal-fired power plants across Pennsylvania and the rest of the country are allowed to dump millions of pounds of toxic heavy metals into our water every year -- but you can help change that!
The EPA is considering stronger limits on toxic coal waste in our water and we can help make sure the protections are put into place by showing strong public support.
Sierra Club volunteers will be at Penn's Landing in Philadelphia Friday the 5th to inform folks attending the Taste of Philadelphia event about the need for a strong EPA rule to keep toxic coal waste out of our water.
We'll be displaying a living mural to show how toxic coal waste affects our water, holding a press conference and collecting signatures in support of protections against toxic coal waste.

You're invited to take part in our annual member outing and retreat July 12-14 at Susquehannock State Park with the Sierra Club Pennsylvania Chapter in Lancaster County!
Susquehannock State Park sits on 224 beautiful acres in Drumore Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The park is on a scenic plateau overlooking the Susquehanna River and Conowingo Reservoir, and features two vistas, including Hawk Pointe, known for its wide array of bird species.
Our outing weekend is full of a variety of activities, many kid-friendly. Our outings include hiking, paddling and a tour of the numerous energy production sites nearby. The paddle trip will visit the Indian Rock petroglyphs, located in the lower Susquehanna - an extraordinary opportunity to view Native American rock art!
Susquehannock is also close to outstanding cultural and historical attractions. It's only 15 miles to Lancaster City, home to our 15th President, James Buchanan, and abolitionist Thaddeus Stevens. Lancaster also features Wheatland's Gardens and the popular Tanger Arboretum, which features more than 100 species of trees from around the world.
